We felt welcomed like family from the moment we arrived. They even picked us up from nearby Los Arcos and returned us there the following morning! The hotel is pristinely kept, but still feels cozy. Our room was large and generously furnished. Plenty of hot water and big, fluffy towels. The bed was just as perfect as the rest of the room and the duvet was to die for. Dinner was delicious and the portions are very generous. Breakfast was the same - we couldn't eat everything, but Nicolette packed it up, along with a few extras, and sent it with us to snack on later. Highly recommended!! You won't find a better location at any price point.

It is located in Roncesvalles, a popular starting point on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route. We were stopping one night after having done 2 nights in hostels on the camino, coming from St Jean des pieds. We'd booked the hotel as the hostel which is attached to the hotel was full. It was great. Helpful staff, delicious 3 course dinner for 25euro, wonderful clean and spacious apartment. The hotel, a former monastery was wonderful respite and a treat after 2 difficult days of walking.
