Nestled in the Chiltern Hills, just north of the River Thames as it winds through Buckinghamshire, The Stag and Huntsman is situated in the picturesque village of Hambleden. Everything was just wonderful at this place. Very beautiful landscape, village and hotel. The antmosphere was very classy and in a very positive way old-fashioned. The Food was just incredibly original English and delicious.

This historic former brewery boasts light and elegant rooms with rustic, original features and fine Egyptian linen. Amazing staff from check in to departure, the restaurant was first class, the room was probably the best room I’ll ever stay in my life. Duplex apartment with a lovely industrial feel to it, but high end finishes throughout. Amazing shower area too. The sort of holiday where the room Is good enough to stay in and chill.

Loved this place - being so old it has some quirks like sloping floors and low doorways (which added to the charm). Our beautiful room was above the dining room and at first we thought the noise might be a problem, however we probably had the best sleep of our entire holiday. Outstanding food and atmosphere, and absolutely amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble and every single staff member we dealt with was friendly, helpful and genuine. We stayed 3 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer.

Set in a beautifully restored 17th century inn, this guest accommodation is at the foot of the Chiltern Hills and offers spacious and stylish rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was large and clean & food in the pub was excellent! You'll need to book in the evenings, but you can eat in the bar area as well. We didn't prebook breakfast, but ended up easting there every morning anyway as it was so good.
