We spent time on the terrace where we also had a wonderful breakfast the next day. Our room was very spacious and clean with balcony overlooking the property and a window with a sea view. From the terrace you walk out on the private beach and can stroll for 10 min into the town center along the water. Everything about Villa Astra is perfect! We are very impressed! Would love to come back!

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel is not only beautifully designed, but it also exudes a coziness that immediately makes you feel at home. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was absolutely superb, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Every morning felt like a special treat, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a presentation that was simply stunning. The staff at the hotel deserve special mention. They were absolutely delightful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine care and helpfulness added a personal touch to my stay, making it even more memorable. In summary, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. It was a truly pleasurable experience, and I can't wait to return. Situated in Lovran on the Opatija Riviera, Villa Vera is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden. It has a glass-enclosed area with swimming pool and whirlpool, sun terrace and saunas. Very elegant hotel in perfect location. Clean and gives homey feeling. Large rooms and friendly staff.

Only 50 metres from the beach and the 12-km long seaside promenade, Villa Eugenia is located in the centre of the mediaeval Lovran, on the Opatija Riviera. Excellent service. Wonderful big bedroom with balcony and an absolutely superb breakfast. Close to beach area and a nice stroll to the town along a fantastic promenade. Nothing not to like!

From our warm welcome (with a cold drink) to our departure...the kind staff (smiles do matter), the close attention to little details, and the stylish (but not pretentious) facilities exceeded our expectations. We'd like to comment on our hostess/manager Maria, who made such a difference in our experience. We felt this was an extraordinary value for money. The breakfast buffet (with daily live music/pianist!) and service at breakfast was outstanding and generous and a joy to linger over on the terrace or under the arched patio. Our room with a balcony view of the sea was fresh, comfy, and done in such soothing colors. We loved the quiet indoor/outdoor pool area, the close vicinity to the beach walk, and free use of the sauna/steam rooms. The hotel still has an air of old-school, formal glamour (without being stuffy) that one doesn't find so often anymore but we truly appreciate. We will be back.

Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - by Liburnia Hotels & Villas is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local... We liked everything from first minute of check-in to the last minute of check-out. Stuff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The SPA was fantastic, we enjoyed a pool where we can swim during the hottest hours but most of all we liked Finish sauna. Also we enjoyed the treatments, facial and massages. The breakfast was excellent and starting day with prosecco felt luxurious. The room was not big but good size, AC worked properly, no problems with overheating. Location was fantastic, close to the beach and restaurants. We already decided to be back next year.
