Designed in Bali Island-style, the 4-star superior Mala Garden Design Hotel is situated directly on the shore of Lake Balaton in Siófok. We got the penthouse and it is amazing. The SPA was great and the restaurants are very good, we had dinner and breakfast. 10 minutes after we left, we got a call from the hotel saying they found a swimsuit in the room, and we came back to take it.

Great location - walking distance from the main station (both bus and train) and about a 5-minute walk to the beach. Well-equipped, clean, and modern interior. The room was a bit hot - no air-conditioning, but they supplied a fan, as well as access to a great-sized terrace. Breakfast was also included in the price. The receptionist was a gem, very polite, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, it was a positive experience.
