Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). We spent two nights on the island, and it was absolutely amazing! In the evenings, after all the tourists have left, you can take a peaceful walk near the water and feel like you have the entire island to yourself. The guest house we stayed at was fantastic! Traveling with our 5-month-old, we felt incredibly welcomed. Our room was huge, especially compared to other accommodations in Japan, and the common area downstairs was spacious and inviting. They offered a mini buffet for both breakfast and dinner, which was just perfect for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. The guest house is conveniently located halfway between the ferry terminal and the gondola. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the park to the gondola and managed to beat the crowds. Highly recommend! They also has two onsen options which you essentially book just for your family.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. This really is the quintessential Japanese Ryokan experience. You get a yukata when you arrive and you're free to walk around the hotel or even outside with it. I highly recommend bathing in the hot springs; I hiked to the top of Mount Misen in the day, and relaxing the sore muscles in the hot spring in the evening really was divine! Dinner was amazing; absolutely delicious and you could tell how much passion they put into creating it.

The rooms are spacious and super clean and comfortable. They even provide free coffee in the lobby. Location is superb, just 3min walking from the ferry port (but still super quiet and peaceful)

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. We had a one night stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean, spacious, luxurious and comfortable and had a great view of the shrine. We also loved the rooftop public onsen. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Situated in the south-eastern area of Hiroshima, Hotel Cycle offers a simple yet stylish accommodation with free WiFi access in all areas. The JR Onomichi Station is just a 5-minute walk away. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location is perfect for traveling the Shimanami Kaido.

Hiroshima Washington Hotel offers accommodations with free WiFi access. Hatchobori Tram Station is a 5-minute walk and Hiroshima Station is a 15-minute tram ride away. Perfect location to walk to local sites and lots of shopping & food around. When making the booking, it seemed as though breakfast was included but at check in that wasn't the case. We did pay for breakfast 1 day but it wasn't my favorite. The yogurt was incredible, the little jello thing was so good and I enjoyed some rice and salmon but the rest of the offerings weren't to my taste.

Located next to Kanayamacho Tram Station, Chisun Hotel Hiroshima is a 5-minute walk from shopping area Hatchobori. Free WiFi is available. It was amazing value for money. The hotel was basic but had everything we needed including all the toiletries, pyjamas and other hotel facilities. The price was great. We had a really good and comfortable stay.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima is directly connected to the JR Hiroshima Shinkansen (Bullet Train) Station. 1. Just right next to the main Hiroshima Train station. 2. Easy to roll with the suitcase from the train station to the hotel check-in. 3. Many shops in the main train station mall. 4. The room was large and luxurious. 5. Easy Check out 6. Very clean. 7. There is an Airport Limousine bus service on level 1 Bus Stop 5.
