Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

Overlooking the beautiful Kobe Harbour, Oriental Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of the historic Kyu-Kyoryuchi area. Everything was great. Including the staff. Very accommodating. Beautiful hotel!

Situated just a 3-minute walk from JR Motomachi Staion, Kobe Motomachi Tokyu REI Hotel provides simple rooms with natural colours. Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff. Rainshower shower in its own room. Spacious room. Most sophisticated toilet system of all my stays. Hard and very good beds. Nothing to complain.

Villa Fontaine Kobe Sannomiya offers modern rooms with free wired internet access. Free Wi-Fi is available at the 5th floor lobby. The staff were really helpful and nice. Gave a lot of recommendations in Kobe. The hotel is well maintained and clean.

Only a 3-minute walk from JR Himeji Station, Dormy Inn Himeji Natural Hot Spring offers modern rooms with free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Great location close to the station and a short walk from the castle. very friendly staff. parking for several cars (uses car lift so size limits apply). Great Japanese breakfast choice. Free ramen from 21.30-2300 every evening. roof spa (didn’t see or use though as stated only one night). Rooms a little dated but perfectly fine.

Hotel Okura Kobe is located on the waterfront, 500 metres from the Motomachi shopping area. Featuring Western-style rooms with free WiFi access, the hotel offers 6 dining options. Location was excellent only 10 minute stroll from main area and close to most amenities. The staff could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived. We had a great view from our room on the 29th floor.

The hotel was good in every way, and the traditional japanese breakfast a real treat. But what made the stay exceptionally good was the amazing staff - very friendly and very helpful. Even if we didn't speak the same language we had great communication, simply because the staff was so professional and keen to help. A big thank you to the really great staff at Hotel Wing!

A 10-minute walk from JR Sannomiya Train Station, Kobe Sannomiya Union Hotel features a Japanese restaurant and a massage service. Rooms feature free Wifi and a flat-screen satellite TV. I couldn't complain. Everything was nice.
