Piece Hostel Sanjo offers private and dormitory rooms in the heart of Kyoto. The ambiance, the facilities and accommodating staff. They have a huge kitchen at the ground floor where you can do some cooking, free coffee (you have to make your own coffee with their beans), and they have a laundry machine at the lower ground floor(for 300 yen). its a 10mins walk from the train station.

Guesthouse Soi was an extremely comfortable and well located place for our visit to Kyoto. Our room was clean and spacious, the provided breakfast was a simple but tasty start to the day, with the upgraded Japanese breakfast being one of the best meals we’ve had during our stay here. Maki and Sim were so friendly and helpful, and I constantly witnessed them helping people throughout our stay. This saved us when we left our bag in a bus and they were immediately able to contact the bus company and the restaurant we were in prior to confirm where they were - something that would have been extremely hard without a local phone number and fluent Japanese. Guesthouse Soi will be our first choice if we return to Kyoto.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. I had booked private room with bathroom and got cutest little room ever! It was soo clean, restrooms and shower room too! Lovely modern hostel with great staff and above everything, super clean! 5 min away from Kyoto station!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. Amazing place to stay, extremely recommended. A really great experience in general - I stayed in one of the suites and could not have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful place to stay, only a short walk from Okunoin Cemetary and an easy walk to the rest of town. Very close to the bus stop from Koyasan Station. Staff were always helpful and the meals were unbelievably delicious and satisfying, even though I needed to ask for a soy-free modification. The best food I ate during my stay!

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

Το Kyoto Century Hotel απέχει μόλις 2 λεπτά με τα πόδια από τον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό του Κιότο και προσφέρει κλιματιζόμενα δωμάτια με δωρεάν internet. Just few steps from the Station and excellent value. Nice view of the Shinkansen tracks from our window.
