Piece Hostel Sanjo offers private and dormitory rooms in the heart of Kyoto. The ambiance, the facilities and accommodating staff. They have a huge kitchen at the ground floor where you can do some cooking, free coffee (you have to make your own coffee with their beans), and they have a laundry machine at the lower ground floor(for 300 yen). its a 10mins walk from the train station.

Guesthouse Soi was an extremely comfortable and well located place for our visit to Kyoto. Our room was clean and spacious, the provided breakfast was a simple but tasty start to the day, with the upgraded Japanese breakfast being one of the best meals we’ve had during our stay here. Maki and Sim were so friendly and helpful, and I constantly witnessed them helping people throughout our stay. This saved us when we left our bag in a bus and they were immediately able to contact the bus company and the restaurant we were in prior to confirm where they were - something that would have been extremely hard without a local phone number and fluent Japanese. Guesthouse Soi will be our first choice if we return to Kyoto.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. I had booked private room with bathroom and got cutest little room ever! It was soo clean, restrooms and shower room too! Lovely modern hostel with great staff and above everything, super clean! 5 min away from Kyoto station!

Nestled in a quiet residential area, Kyoto Brighton Hotel is located in the heart of Kyoto, a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Imperial Palace. All guest rooms are non-smoking and soundproofed. The hotel itself is huge, very well kept and stylized. The staff were nice and spoke English well so it was easy as a foreigner. The room itself was large and extremely clean as the rest of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The bath was large and very nice, they provide you with bath salts for a nice soak. There were a few different tea sets you could try, one of them being a matcha set. It was quiet, I couldn't hear my neighbors at all. I got a massage, the masseuse was very nice and professional, I felt relaxed. The food at the restaurants was very good as well, there were a few options for different cuisines and budgets. Overall a great experience and value for money. I came to relax and managed to do just that!

Ideally located just a 2-minute walk from lively Nishiki Market and Ponto-cho Street, Matsui Honkan boasts large public baths and chic Japanese-style rooms. We had an amazing stay here. The place was incredibly clean and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our time there and believe that booking just one night is perfect for anyone visiting Kyoto.

The staff were excellent! Super attentive, kind, and helpful. Great tattoo friendly Onsen on property as well as a tea ceremony with the owners of the hotel who are the sweetest people. Great experience.

Το Ryokan Kyoraku βρίσκεται σε κεντρική τοποθεσία, μόλις 7 λεπτά με τα πόδια από τη βόρεια έξοδο του σταθμού JR Kyoto. Απέχει 3 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το ναό Higashi Hongan-ji. Everything was perfect. Location, the premises, the staff, the room. I ve never been in a place with such an aura. It was a unique experience. I already miss my room..
