It's all the small things that count. Perfect location, just few minutes walk from station.

The staff are very welcoming and courteous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Accommodation is very comfortable and close to the train/bus station and surrounding attractions.

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. Everything! This was the most beautiful ryokan with wonderful staff who were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We had breakfast and dinner in our room and they were both superb - beautifully presented, exceptional tastes and served gracefully by the staff. A true delight! The amenities were comfortable and the onsen beautiful with both indoor and outdoor baths. The hospitality of Ryokan Tanabe is exceptional - if you are looking for a great ryokan experience I highly recommend staying here.

Hida Takayama Hodakaso Yamano Iori is just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Old Town and Takayama Jinya and Miyagawa Morning Market. Right when we walked in we knew we had exactly what we wanted with a very traditional Japanese experience. The lady who runs the place is very lovely and offers self serve coffee upon arrival and departure. Our room was very comfortable and plesant and the location is very close to all amenities.

Awarded in 2014 with TripAdivsor’s Certificate of Excellence, Takayama Ouan features traditional Japanese designs and tatami (woven-straw) flooring throughout. Παρά πολύ καλό...παραδοσιακο ξενοδοχείο....κοιμηθηκαμε σε ταταμι...τα κορίτσια στην ρεσεψιον ήταν ευγενέστατα...ειχε λουτρα και ιδιωτικα και δημοσια....στον 13 οροφο....ειχαμε υπεροχη θεα απο το δωματιο μας σε ολη την τακαγιαμα και στα βουνα της......το βράδυ είχαν δωρεάν Ραμεν μεταξύ 9.30 και 10.30.....το πρωινό τους ήταν θεϊκό...και του πουλιού το γάλα....δωρεάν καφέ όλο το 24ωρο...το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα...βαμοςςςςς....
