The train running through the garden only every once in a while makes it extra special. The noise never bothered me while I am a light sleeper (as of midnight until +/- 05:00 the train doesn't pas by anymore anyway). There are many guests who have been coming back for years. That already says enough. The staff is incredibly friendly. Absolutely loved it here, thank you for this special experience and truly hope to come back in the future!

With the lush lawn, trees, white buildings and train running through the bottom of the property it felt like colonial days.

It is a bird watchers paradise. the rooms were amazing the view was incredible and the food and staff spectacular. special mention to Mario and Jack the dogs who wer fun to play with. the monkeys beautiful birds were amazing the spa massage was all class and the chef and boys working there were fun and always smiles on their faces. food was amazing for all meal times. thanks to all we will never forget it

It was my favourite hotel i stayed in Sri Lanka. It's super beautiful and i think its cheap. They have pool with a very beautiful garden. The rooms are huge. We had a big balcony aswell. And they had for us a Elephant with a towel and flowers in the bed. Nice touch The food really good and the staff super amazing everyone super nice. It's like 3 minutes walking to the beach and just in front have the train railway. You can see it like 3 times per day, which its really cool. They offer activities like go to a lake to see the mangrove in a boat or make a massage in the ayurveda place that they have. The best part they have 3 baby cats and they care them a lot. It's the first pet friendly hotel i stayed on Sri Lanka. Amazing experience. The beach beautiful and not crowded and very close its wave restaurant, super good place for eat.

Set in beautiful landscaped grounds, Haus Berlin offers relaxing stays in spacious rooms. Featuring an outdoor pool, it offers bike rental and free WiFi in public areas for free. The property provides Ayurveda treatments. We booked the big deluxe room and the name is really acurate. The room is amazing, it is decorated with a lot of good taste and so comfortable, we loved it! The garden and pool are great also and its very quiet there, which is nice too. To get to beach you need a tuk tuk or scooter but thats worth it i think! Food was not so cheap compared to many other places we went to but good and tasty and homemade so in the end no complaint on that end. I would definately recommend the place after all!
