We loved the rooftop pool and lounge area, perfect balance of shade and sun options. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and we even got a free upgrade to a room with a lovely balcony. The road was quiet and had security, the area felt safe at night. The host was very friendly and accommodating, included clear instructions to access the property, recommended local restaurants, and was available by text at all times. We can’t recommend this location enough!

All rooms feature a balcony or terrace. a real gem of a place beautiful clean pool..breakfast was good but a little too much the same each day..the owner and staff very friendly and helpful..this place is like home with dogs cats bees and chickens..the best part for me was there was ample hot water for my must have showers

This was my 4th visit to Hotel Lunata in Playa del Carmen since 2002. On the surface, very little has changed over the years. In this case, that is a very good thing! Of course there has been some modernization in that time, such as very good WiFi for each room, however the warm and inviting room design, the friendly staff and the overall impression the hotel leaves have all not changed. We again had a very pleasant visit and were sad to leave. The breakfast is very basic with some cereals, tea, coffee and toast. It’s enough to get you going into the day, but it’s not a feast and is not the main focus of this boutique hotel. It is self-service in the Lunata natural garden, just like it was in 2002. We brought some fruits from the market and the staff offered to peel and cut the fruit for us. Fantastic service.

The location was amazing, really quite and can enjoy the (private) Beach. We have enjoyed it that much and extended one more Day. The staff are friendly and attentive, plus the breakfast was very good.

The shopping districts and nightlife of Cancun are also just a short drive away. Absolutely stunning hotel, only 3 months old, design and decor was gorgeous. Beds super comfy, espresso coffee maker, beach towels. We ate here a few times and food was amazing.. All staff superhelpful and friendly. Always happy to help. Walking distance to plenty of shops, supermarket and arms. Beach and infinity pool was also great. Lovely sun loungers, and great coffee. Being next door to KANAN beach club was also cool, as could sit in our hotel beach beds listing to the DJ play until 6pm. Hammocks on beach. Drinks reasonable. Rooftop jacuzzi was a massive plus, and views whilst there were stunning. We thought being right in middle of all the big clubs would be too noisy, but it wasn't. Didn't effect us at all. We were sad to leave we absolutely loved this place. Collectivio vans 30 pesos to town or other sights right outside hotel. Walk over road and can book tours to cenotes etc.. A few paces walk to the big art structure place, with all the famous wicker statues. Opp Taco place.
