Loved the place so cozy and charming.Teresa gave us a lift to Santana so we can enjoy it and than catch bus fit Funchal.Really apprecuated it. 10 of 10.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Beautiful views, friendly and attentive staff, very nice breakfast. We were there at the beginning of January and were able to enjoy the outdoor pool and ocean views. We had a car (which we recommend so you have the freedom to explore the whole island) and there is free parking available below the hotel on the street with a lift up to the hotel. We will definitely book in again if we come back to Madeira.

Offering an outdoor pool and spa centre, Castanheiro Boutique Hotel is set in Funchal, 500 metres from Marina do Funchal. The staff was Excellent. They went out of their way to help to recommend outstanding restaurants, activities and the happy hour was fantastic to meet other travelers. The location is excellent.

Amazing stuff, very friendly and helpful and always lovely. Nice hotel with nice pool and really good breakfast. Fresh fruit in the room - these little details which make you feel special.

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. The hotel is really great - nice location next to the city center, spacious rooms equipped with kitchenette, really tasty breakfast, lovely surroundings and exceptional staff. The outside pool area has direct connection with a sea beach. Breakfast is served at the seaside restaurant that is available for dinner too. Comfy bed, large bathroom, separate towels for pool.

The place is super beautiful, a little peace heaven. The swimming pool has an amazing view and so did our room.
