Room is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Bed is comfortable, one of the best that I have slept on. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

The best part, by far, was the kindness and hospitality that Daro and May showed us. They were so warm, thoughtful, and generous. Daro picked us up from the train station long after check in because we missed our first train. May helped us book a tour and gave us lovely recommendations on what to do in the area. Both were joyful and kind, and it’s clear that they have a beautiful life nestled in the mountains there by Taroko. The breakfast was so lovely and homemade, and had lots of variety, with a more traditional Taiwanese offering on one side and a more Western breakfast set up on the other. Our room was huge, so clean and comfortable, and had these gigantic windows that let in the most magnificent light. The B&B was surrounded by a garden around which family pets roamed and countless gorgeous butterflies floated about at all hours. The view is unbeatable - Taroko is right behind you, and you wake up to the sun coming over the mountains in a way that is just breathtaking. Can’t recommend staying here enough. So glad we did this instead of staying in Hualien, which was very reachable by taxi when we wanted to go to the night market, but instead we got to enjoy being five minutes from the park in the most beautiful home with the loveliest people!

In beautiful Hualien, Hotel Les Champs Hualien is a French-style property with stylish Parisian decor. This hotel is my favorite in Hualien. The location is fabulous, right at the corner of the night market. The hotel rooms are well equipped, the staff is very attentive and the breakfast is very tasty. I also like their Line Brown and Cony decoration.
