The review system is rather dysfunctional in Hanoi, with the reviews seemingly being to support the hotel providers rather than the consumer. There is high pressure to provide top reviews rather than honest ones to help consumers choose. That said, this hotel goes beyond the system and really is an elegant, charming residence with outstanding staff, attractive design, good breakfast and an appropriate price-to-service ratio. I stayed in 6 different hotels during my trip to Vietnam and this was one of my favourites. If I find myself in Hanoi again, I will stay here. Recommended!

This is a wonderful hotel in one of our favorite cities. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and there is more than enough storage and outlets. The shower always has enough hot water and the WIFI works great. Wonderful bedding. Large window provides lots of natural light. The breakfast buffet has lots of options and a wide selection of local fruit. You can also order breakfast items made to order. The neighborhood is on a street bounded by the hospital on one side (so lots of local local restaurants for the folks working there) and on the other side a street with retail shops and more restaurants. St. Joseph’s cathederal is nearby as is the lake. The street itself is very quiet and there is little traffic most of the day/night. All of these aspects are complimented by a fabulous staff: Kate, Annie, and Wind at reception who will make sure you have all your questions answered.,Nam who keeps the breakfast room humming, and Ngoc who helps you on your way in or out of the hotel itself. And then there is Mr. Zenkey, manager extraordinaire! We have stayed here several times over the last few years and will continue to do so!

Excellent location with a lot of option near by, good breakfast, very comfortable bed. Amazing staff, very polite and helpful. Roof top is awsome, good selection of drinks, great view and kind bartender - perfect way to finish your day after exploring Hanoi.

Το boutique hotel που επέλεξα ήταν μια όαση ηρεμίας, με καλαίσθητα δωμάτια και ένα πρωινό που με γέμισε με τις αυθεντικές γεύσεις της τοπικής κουζίνας. Η τοποθεσία του στο κέντρο της πόλης αποδείχθηκε ιδανική, καθώς όλα τα σημαντικά αξιοθέατα βρίσκονταν σε απόσταση αναπνοής.

Located in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarter, Hanoi Pearl Hotel is conveniently a minute’s walk to the renowned Hoan Kiem Lake. This hotel was beautiful. Very aesthetic,rooms are spacious and clean. They clean our rooms daily, change our towels daily too. The food served at breakfast tasted delicious, I truly enjoyed it. There were lots to choose from Vietnamese cuisine to western cuisines. Location was perfect, walking distance to the lake and St. Joseph’s Cathedral may be around 5 mins walk or less, and to more popular tourists spots. Would recommend this place.

Overlooking peaceful views of the popular Hoan Kiem Lake, this elegant hotel features a 24-hour front desk, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi access is available at all areas of the hotel. The staff were amazing and very helpful, especially Rosie, who went above and beyond to assist. The location was also fantastic, making it easy to explore the area.

Το Lavender Central Hotel καλωσορίζει τους επισκέπτες με δροσιστικό χυμό πορτοκαλιού και απέχει μόλις 3 λεπτά με τα πόδια από τη γραφική λίμνη Hoan Kiem και τη γέφυρα Huc. Located in the Old Quarter, the room was clean and away from the street view. The staff are so accommodating. The breakfast was really good. Special thanks to Hana, for arranging a free taxi to the airport! We will stay here again.

Located in central Hanoi near the Old Quarter, Splendid Star Grand Hotel and Spa offers modern rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. The hotel location is very good—a quiet area, right next to the cathedral. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is delicious with a wide selection. We received a larger room than the one we had booked. I recommend it.
