Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The deck area boasts a cocktail bar and free WiFi is available throughout. Absolutely wonderful stay in the Tsitsikama. The chalets are spacious and are well stocked. We loved the hot tubs and the delicious meals at the restaurant. We can't wait to return.

At Singing Kettle Beach Lodge the restaurant, Enrico’s serves authentic Italian food with South African flavours. Guests can relax on the terrace whilst watching the sunset. The staff were exceptional (thank you, Dee and Michelle), and the rooms were top-class, with comfortable beds and fresh, clean linen. Kitchen appliances were a helpful convenience, and small touches like beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc... made our trip most memorable. The views from the rooms are absolutely amazing, and the restaurant below adds a great holiday vibe!

Elegantly decorated, all rooms and suites come with a balcony and are equipped with a satellite TV, tea-and-coffee facilities, and a minibar. The private bathrooms have a bath and a separate shower. The spacious Honeymoon Suite has panoramic views of the ocean and the lagoon. I like the space of the suite and the service provider was so helpful

Accommodation comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a coffee maker. Some suites have a furnished patio, while others have a furnished balcony. Amazing stay, one of our favorites so far here in SA. Amazing room, big , comfortable and has everything we needed. The view was to die for, and sleeping with the sound of the ocean was wonderful. Incredible breakfast and staff that go above and beyond. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back for longer than two days next time

The country-style suites are elegantly decorated and feature under-floor heating, a sofa and air conditioning. It includes a desk, safe and en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Some suites offer a view of the Knysna lagoon. Just amazing, communication, welcome, facilities, cleanliness, extra touches, breakfast all deserve 11/10 as a minimum. Truly special experience

The suites offer sea views. Staying at the Alexander Guest House was one of the highlights of our trip. From the room upgrade to the fabulous views, delectable breakfasts and gracious hosts and I can't say enough about this place. We would definitely stay again and recommend anyone wanting a first class experience to book a stay!

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool.

The rooms at Turbine Hotel & Spa are elegantly decorated with light fabrics and parquet floors. The suites have a satellite LCD TV and extra long beds. Everything was amazing. The setting, staff and building were great. The setting was very relaxing with great shops and restaurants in the immediate context.

Falcons View Manor is 1 km from Knysna Harbour, where you can rent a boat and explore the Knysna National Lakes Area. The hotel is 5 km from Simola Golf Club, which was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus. My stay at Falcons Manor exceeded expectations. I stayed for a week and planned to do hiking and yoga while in the area. The staff were superb, they provided great advice, connected me with local services and guides; they were thoughtful and helpful. The food was excellent, dinners and breakfast. The breakfast choices were many, with lots of fresh fruits and great coffee. The pool was great and the gardens are lovely. A very relaxing and quiet location. I can’t recommend the place enough! Thank you for everything!

The rooms at the family run Waterfront Lodge are tastefully decorated with bright warm colours and large windows. Some rooms have a private balcony or patio facing the lagoon. Quiet away from busy Knysna . Friendly and excellent hosts Maranne and Gavin . Beautiful views and the carwash was a huge bonus
