When our train out of Munich was cancelled due to heavy snow, we, along with hundreds of other travelers were looking for a place to stay. We booked the hotel and while it was off the beaten path, the staff was lovely and helpful. There is a market attached to the hotel with a hot good buffer, so we could grab dinner and snacks right from the hotel elevator without going outside. The snow was so bad that all transportation was closed, even taxis so it was great to have the food option available. Room was clean, beds comfortable and breakfast was available if you wanted. The price was great considering other places jacked up their costs due to the heavy demand from stranded travelers.

The staff at Hotel Deutsche Eiche were so nice and super helpful. The location was very close to the old town and the market. It was a short tram ride to the train station. The room was comfortable. The minibar was included and replenished daily. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the city. I highly recommend and will be back.
