Staff is great, pleasant, polite and helpful.
I arrived at 5am and no problem with check-in.
Hostel is on the 7th floor so it is relatively quiet for such a noisy city.
Arabic breakfast was superb!! 👌
Beds were comfy with curtains for privacy.
Reception hall also servers as common area, it's not big yet you can meet other travellers easily.
Location is good since you can walk to some cites of the city plus 5 minutes walk from Metro station of Tahrir square.
Will definitely stay there again if I return to Cairo

We stayed at Champollion guest house for a week last year, and felt at home.
We came back this year for 2 days, and enjoyed the same warm welcome and care.
We tried the new Champollion palace, on 6th floor, very nice and cosy.
For sure we will come back again !
I have a suggestion : maybe the team could propose Egyptian breakfast style as an option?

Amazing staff, they're so friendly and welcoming. They all speak good english and are funny! Abdallah is also the best guide you could ask for, great guy and knows a lot about Egypt and the history. We did a day tour to the Saqqara pyramids and to the GEM. He included some extra stops for free and managed to get us into all the Tombs for free.
The Hotel is located perfectly in downtown. It's a safe area cause it's super busy and it has loads of food options within a 5min walk. The staff will also reccomend a place that specialises in Koshari, everyone visiting Cairo has to try it! Great value for money!!
We had a private room and it was very spacious, comfy bed and bathroom was good. AC works well!

Everything. At the heart of Cairo's downtown, and a few minutes' walk away from a metro station, everything in Cairo looks near. The appartment is very clean, Abdel-Awal and Taher took care of the smallest of our needs. Abdel-Awal is the best host I've ever had and the Yaacoubian Suites is a very pleasant place to stay in Cairo.
