We were looking for a clean, calm, quiet, non-smoking, non-drinking place to stay. And we found it here! We loved much natural light through windows (I don't feel comfortable in rooms without windows and I am sure that many foreigners feel like me.) We kept the windows open and enjoyed the clean and fresh air. The environment is so quiet, that most of the time we could enjoy the eagles' voice. A mosque is nearby, you can listen to their prayers, too. We didn't mind it at all. The location is not central, but if you are looking for a calm and peaceful stay, you can find it here, and can reach sights easily. We rented a bike for transportation during our holiday. No smoking and no alcohol is our basic lifestyle and we are happy, that we could find a place where we could avoid smoking and drinking people. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. We liked the nice interiors and simple decoration. The bed was comfortable with a special mattress. As a guest in Moonshine Homestay you become a part of a loving and caring family. We got much help, even before our arrival. Thank you for all recommendations and advice. We hope we can go back soon.

The owner was super accommodating and arranged vehicle whenever requested. We booked for 2 nights and ended up extending another 2 nights. There are about 10 shops about 200m away. can order food via Swiggy. about 15mins from airport. about 15mins from Lal chowk. as said earlier, the owner was super nice and was more guest-friendly.

Basit the hostel manager went beyond to arrange for a driver and communicate in English as middle person for my trips to Gulmarg and Pahalgam. He is reliable and responsible. The property is very reasonable for the price. The rooms and toilets are neat. The place in Raj Bagh is a 1km walk from Polo View market and 2.5km walk to Dal lake ghats.
