All the staff were always really friendly, helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and the hotel was quite grand. The room was very spacious and comfortable with good aircon so that we could get a good night's sleep in the heat. The location in Downton Yangon was handy for a lot of trips we did, although the immediate street of the hotel had some colourful nightlife but it was safe enough.

We stayed at the hotel for two weeks in February 2025. The hotel is very conveniently located (5-7 minutes by taxi from the Shwedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda, and the zoo). The hotel is not new, which is especially noticeable in the bathroom (the walls need painting) and in the smell in the room, but we got used to it. The shower pressure is very good, there is hot water. The rooms are quite large. The furniture in the room is of good quality (a large wardrobe, 2 beds, a bedside table for TV, bedside tables. There is no kettle, but hot water and everything you need for a comfortable stay are brought upon request. I would like to note the very attentive, very friendly hotel staff! They made our holiday in Yangon unforgettable!
A 10-minute walk to Sule Pagoda, Hotel Grand United (Chinatown) offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property. For extra convenience, there is a 24-hour front desk. Laundry services are available.

Great service from doorstep with porters on hand to assist with luggage, fuss-free quick and efficient check in and check out, warm greetings from everyone, immaculate housekeeping, generous and clean room, awesome well maintained and well equipped gym and just a sheltered walk to Myanmar Plaza for groceries, good and such.
Room service was also obliging when I requested some food at 11pm, past their serving hour for certain dishes that require more preparation.
I will be back again ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️

From the miniute I arrived the staff was so attentive, they just can not do enough for you.
The modern hotel is very well and tastefull designed and decorated. Large rooms with wood like floors and high ceilings. Bathroom with a tub and seperate walk in shower. Huge and comfortable beds. I like that when you open the door the entrance light comes on so you can see to put the card key in the slot.
Very good lighting and well placed controls.
The staff are really what makes any hotel, and here they go above and beyond. Especially at the buffet breakfast and evening buffet. They are so attentive and seem to anticipate your every need, even bringing me dishes to try. They are amazing. Food is also very good, vast selection and high quality.
A small but complete fitness center with a great view of the lake.
Huge pool and even an area with astro turf to walk around. Unfortunately at this time of year air pollution was unhealthy so I didn't use outside facilities.
I travel all the time and I'm pretty picky. So the only minor thing was that when you walk into the entrance there is no information directing you to the 4th floor to check in, but this does not detract from the overall quality of the hotel and amazing staff, which did direct me to the 4th floor when I asked about reception.
