This was one of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. It is very modern and secure. The dorm rooms don't even feel like dorm rooms because of the capsule style beds. The hostel features very big social areas and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is also very good and the staff are helpful.

The rooftop is such a cozy vibe and the staff were absolutely lovely! They gave so many recommendations abut the area and were so friendly to chat to! The location is great, close to the bus stop as well as the lake itself. Discounted bike rental and boat ride if you book through the hostel, as well as discount at local cafe/restaurant.

The girl at the front desk was super friendly and helped us with everything — tips on what to do, where to eat, and how to get around. Her English was very good. The room was really well set up. Often you miss little things like a bedside lamp, enough power outlets, or a place to hang your clothes, but not here. There was also plenty of space to unpack and store our luggage from our two backpacks. The room was spacious, had an enclosed shower, and even a Japanese toilet. Breakfast was really good. They even prepared something extra for our diet — like pasta, vegetables, and a sandwich — which we really appreciated. The breakfast area is on the top floor and offers lovely views, making the start of the day even better. The hotel also added lots of nice extras like free coffee, snacks, a postcard service, and even complimentary bug repellent. The location was great too — close to the bus station, bike rentals, and plenty of restaurants.

Don’t stay anywhere else in Sun Moon Lake, this is the place to be. We’ve been travelling around Asia for a few months and this was by far our favourite place which we’ve stayed, it has it all. Location, nice rooms, amazing staff. The owners in particular are such genuinely kind people. They offer a free bike tour at sunrise and I think it might be one of my favourite experiences ever. The sunrise and scenery combined with the passion for Sun Moon Lake really was amazing. The rooms were clean, bright and spacious and the breakfast was good also. All this for incredible value, we were sad when we had to leave.
