From the moment you arrive everything is about your comfort and experience. The staff are super friendly and nothing is to much for them. I felt overwhelmed by the hospitality because I was meant to feel the most important in the space. I was giving an upgrade to the Spanish suite and a view to die for. The facilities were very good, especially given the hotel's age, but the exceptional service level is what really made the difference. We loved the breakfast because the choice of both Indian and European food was excellent, the quality was great, and the waiters were very prompt and friendly. The reception was staffed with great team members, so both the check-in and the check-out were smooth. Bhupen was particularly helpful and efficient, and he even managed to remember my not-very-common last name. Also, the concierge Urvashi was very friendly and professional and gave us some great dining suggestions. The location of the hotel is far away from the city center but very close to the airport, and there is a whole cluster of top hotels around, so if you want to try some new restaurants you can either walk or take a short tuk-tuk ride to another 5-star property nearby. The pool of the hotel is great and it is super relaxing to take a nap on one of the sun beds surrounding it.

The breakfast provided was lavish will multiple cuisines available. Most of the dishes were prepared as per order and others were also hot. The breakfast was capable of catering to all the tastes, Indian as well as Asian and European / American. The lunch buffet was wonderful too with varied selections. The Mangrove bar was also wonderful with very good selections of drinks and snacks. The rooms were very well equipped, extremely comfortable and neat and clean. As for any Taj facility, the staff was outstanding and there is no single individual to whom we can compliment. The location, while within Mumbai, was peaceful and quiet and we had a soothing view of mangroves from our room. The wellness facility is excellent too and spa treatment was excellent with reasonable charges.
