What a beautiful place ! The garden, the house, the location, the outlook, everything was wonderful to look upon. The stillness, the sound of the birds and the temple prayers. The team were incredible - so helpful and lovely to chat with. We became close with them during our stay. The food was exceptional- I don’t think we’ve eaten so well before on holiday.

We got stranded in the jungle with the owners during Ditwah cyclone and they have not thrown us out, but instead took care of us and ensured we remain safe by allowing us to extend our stay for additional 3 nights. They are ready to help with anything you might need. - We have stayed in the wooden cottage and the views are beautiful. - The size of the cottage is spacious. - The hotel is not in Ella city center but the host offers tuk tuk service to take and pick you up whenever necessary (ca. 5min to get there) - The breakfast includes toast, jam, butter, fresh local fruits they have grown themselves, pancakes, jogurt, coffee/tea.

The Liyon Hotel was an excellent experience for my family. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very cleanly kept. The bathroom was clean and large, and the mini fridge in the room proved useful. The breakfast provided to us was exceptional and delicious. The hospitality of the hotel owner was commendable. The package is worth a lot more than what we paid, with such a good room and food for a very low price!

We stayed at O2 Villas in Ella and it was one of our best experiences in Sri Lanka. It’s a newly built, modern and luxurious place but still very reasonably priced — amazing value for money. The location is ideal, just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from the town centre, yet surrounded by stunning views. We stayed in one of the villas as a group of five, and the balcony view was incredible. The room was spacious, spotless and equipped with smart features like automatic curtains. We had one large bed, one double and one single, and when we asked for an extra bed, they provided it free of charge. The bathroom was shared but perfectly manageable for five people. One thing we really appreciated was that our room was fully cleaned again after the first night — fresh towels were brought in and complimentary water and drinks were restocked. Not many hotels do that! The staff were fantastic — welcoming us with drinks, helping with luggage and etc. There’s a cinema room, a spa and a beautiful pool overlooking the scenery (we couldn’t use it due to the rain but it looked lovely). Breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka, with a generous buffet of fruits, hot dishes and snacks and they also cooked fresh pancakes and eggs exactly to your preferred style. Since we had to check out very early for a safari, the manager, Mr Lahiru, kindly prepared takeaway breakfast boxes for us — such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, a 10/10 stay. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Ella. Huge thanks to Mr Lahiru and the entire team :)

We stayed in the presidential suite at Andriyala for 3D2N on our honeymoon. It was definitely a highlight of our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The room itself was beautiful and newly renovated, with a private pool, deck, and hammock overlooking the countryside. The views are absolutely stunning. You will wake up and sleep to sweeping views of the Sri Lankan tea country. The service was also fantastic. Every meal was served to us private dining style on our deck. Make sure you have dinner while the sun is setting; it's absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay; they organised a scooter as well as a repair service when one of our bags tore. Overall, the presidential suite at Andriyala is a 5 star experience and fantastic value for money. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
