This hotel is located right in the heart of all things tourist in the city center. The most chaotic portion of the city (nightlife and such) is within minutes of walking but you can walk in the opposite direction to connect to much more family friendly options like the huge street markets, temples, etc. It truly is a perfect location. There are tons of amazing restaurants within minutes walking too! Nearly right across the street there is a travel agency owned by Sunil Tamang. He will handle everything for your adventures and not be pushy. I strongly recommend him. The breakfast and staff were amazing at the hotel! The owner was very available and made sure we were happy! I even got a private tour of the property as they were doing upgrades. I very much recommend the hotel for all aspects: Location, hospitality, food, etc...

Our stay was amazing at Thrive. We enjoyed a lot our Ayuverdic massage, the girls at the spa were great. Also the staff was very friendly, always taking care of our requests. Even when we were preparing to leave with a cab, one of the staff members approached us to help to talk with the driver and to open the gate for him so we can comfortably load the car with luggage. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Kathmandu! Also to mention that the hotel is centrally located so we were at walking distance for almost everything in the city! And not to mention the breakfast which offers a great variety of food, it changes daily.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the overall architecture and interior design of the hotel was stunning. The shower was one of the best I have had. The location was also convenient, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. I had a great time exploring the surrounding area and taking advantage of all that the hotel had to offer. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again in the future.     I really liked this hotel. Location is good. Close to Thamel and easy access to everything I wanted to do. At the same time it is tucked away from the rush of the city. Hotel itself feels brand new, I guess it was recently renovated. It has a great Tibetan feeling but modern at the same time. Staff professional but friendly and engaging. I would happily stay here on any future visits.

    location location! right on Durbar Square through a courtyard, very nice roof terrace with bar were we spent New Years Eve with view of Durbar Square and next morning baking in the sun, renovated restaurant and reception with modern furniture, nice renovated modern bathrooms, staff super super friendly
