I had an amazing stay at Corcovado Adventures, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helped me with tour planning. I recommend booking the tour directly with Corcovado Adventures since the pieces are very reasonable and less expensive than booking with a thorn-party tour operator.

The Jaguars Jungle Lodge was incredible and I highly recommend staying here if you are interested in experiencing the best location in Costa Rica. We have been to Costa Rica six times and this was our favorite lodge. The location next to Corcovado allows for wildlife viewing that is rare within Costa Rica. Most lodges even within the Osa are not located in wilderness. We saw tapirs every night on the property during our 3 night stay. Another group saw a puma shortly prior to our arrival. It does require an adventurous spirit to journey to this lodge and luxuries such as air conditioning are simply not possible in such a remote location. However we were quite comfortable at Jaguars Jungle Lodge. The food was excellent, our room was comfortable and staff as well as our guide were great. We enjoyed hiking the trails around the lodge and coastline, snorkeling, the night nature tour, hiking to remote beaches and swimming at the beach in front of the lodge. Our children ages 12, 15 and 18 also thought it was fantastic. This location allows for a much different experience than many areas in Costa Rica where throngs of tourists walk the trails.

With garden views, Sabalo Lodge Tours and Cabins is situated in Sierpe and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

A magical place made all the more so by the lovely hosts, Anouk and Kevin. We had the place all to ourselves, but even if we hadn’t it is large enough that other guests wouldn’t have bothered us. Kevin is an excellent chef and we ate well (if too much!). Great little swimming hole to cool off in. We went on an early morning boat ride on the river with Melvin - so calm and beautiful. Take advantage when it’s high tide to kayak in the mangroves. We took the car ferry across the Sierpe river and then drove - a bit bumpy but very doable. There is nothing not to like about this corner of Costa Rica.

The staff at Las Caletas were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the stay in Caletas was a highlight of our stay in Costa Rica due to the peaceful and gorgeous surroundings.
