Exceptional accommodation, exceptional owner, surrounded by nature, we loved it. We expected something special, and we had a special experience, seeing many different birds, reptiles, wild boars, and even an elephant one evening near the accommodation. If you expect luxury, don't go here, but if you love nature and the outdoors, you will enjoy it. This was our best accommodation!

The tent includes a shared bathroom fitted with a shower. The tent has garden views. The unit has 2 futons. Sam is a perfect host, who really cares. He made us feel welcome, helped with renting bicycles and even did a very nice bicycle tour with us. The location is perfect if you want to see the sacred city (15 minutes walk away) and feel like being in nature. It is also a very good starting point to do a bicycle tour to Mihintale (which was a great experience!) From the nice rooftop terrace you can see the sunset over the stupas. The tent offers air conditioning, a private entrance, a terrace with garden views as well as a private bathroom boasting a shower. The unit has 2 beds. Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!
