The service and experiences were amazing! The staff paid attention to every detail to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The guide on the safari was great. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed walking with the elephants and the sundowners.

The tent offers air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, a terrace with river views as well as a private bathroom boasting a bath. The hotel is right on the river and you can see rhinos and crocodiles right from the terrace, and or when walking along the river bank. The restaurant was good and I was well looked after by Sitaram who serves guests and was very helpful in arranging early breakfasts. The hotel organises safaris and other activities in Chitwan National Park, which is across the river. I did a morning canoe ride followed by a jungle walk, then a full day safari. I had a great experience with both, and had the same guide who was really keen to help us see wildlife. It's much better to do the full day safari which leaves early in the morning. You can split the cost with other guests from the hotel. (It can be cold, especially with the breeze from the open jeep, so dress warmly.) We saw loads of rhinos, including mothers and babies, but it was all in the first half of the day. They took us to the best spots to view the animals, based on information shared among the guides. For the half-day keep safaris that leave in the afternoon, you're out in the heat of the day, and everyone seems to come back disappointed. The hotel is also just a 5-10 minute walk to the town, though there's not a lot to do or see there. The jungle is the main attraction.
