The location is unbeatable—tucked in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet just steps away from the old castle, the local market, and directly across from the historic house of the famous writer Ismail Kadare. Walking through the charming streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of character. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with both modern comfort and traditional charm. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed morning coffee with a view and quiet evenings under the stars. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and made with local ingredients. It was the perfect start to every day and truly added to the experience. But what really made this stay unforgettable were the fantastic hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel not just like guests, but like part of the family. This villa is perfect for anyone looking to relax, explore, and experience the authentic heart of the town. The property was in a perfect location very close to the castle and the Bazaar. Our room was perfectly equipped and had a balcony with a great view of the town and the mountains. The host was so welcoming and friendly and served the most delicious breakfast for us during our stay. Would really recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Gjirokaster!

Great views and very friendly owner. Lovely tight windy drive to get to the property which adds to the experience. Very narrow streets. Don’t rely on Google Maps for the route as you will get to a dead end. The owner will suggest a main route

This is a gorgeous place and a lovely property. Adelle (not sure about the spelling, so apologies in advance) was fabulous and super responsive. She even guided us "live" through town over the phone to reach the property. Lovely family and amazing kindness. They helped with everything we needed. The area is quiet and peaceful. You are in the right place to explore also the aqueduct or to go to the higher part of the city (you are already pretty high). And the view over the castle is fabulous. There are parking spots in the house itself and outside (we parked outside, as we were not going to move the car for a couple of days). It's truly on top, so get ready for some ramps! We enjoyed our weekend in Gijokaster A LOT!

After the solid hike up (worth it), we were greeted by amazing views out over Gjirokaster. While the host doesn't speak English, there is a contact via Whatsapp with someone who does, and their nephew was there too and very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, and stayed very cool even with no AC, despite being 34 degrees outside. Breakfast was the best we'd had in Albania, with egg, tomato, cucumber, cheese, Albanian pancakes, jam and bread and coffee - you'll be completely full. All for a great price, we highly recommend.
