The room was absolutely lovely. Very stylish and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. The location is very quiet and I had an excellent stay. The breakfast was also excellent. A large choice of food and the lady who was there was very kind. Overall, my experience at Charl’s was perfect and I look forward to the next opportunity to stay there.

We loved everything about the property. It was beautifully decorated and clean. The room was so bright and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The location was also fab, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bruges. Lieve and Jan were incredibly helpful - they allowed us to check in at 12pm and replied quickly to messages I sent. We would definitely return if we visit Bruges again! Thank you so much.

Wonderful stay at Hidden Gem!!!!! ---Location couldn't be better !!!! Just about 300 m. from Brugge train station, yet in a beautiful quiet green neighbourhood with charming houses . In front of the station you can take the Bus No 2 to the center (( get off at ''Djiver'' stop for'' Rosary quay ''and then a pleasant short walk to ''Burg'' and ''Markt '' squares )). Or you can take the ''shuttle Bus'' to center, ticket 1 euro, , 3 euro for the normal bus. (( getting ticket is easy, just tap your card on the small white device inside bus and that's all... no paper ticket )) ---Behind the house is the beautiful ''Lake of Love'' park, one of the must see in Bruges and crossing it you can make your way to all sights....If you wish a quiet coffee or drink, away from the crowds, by Bus No 2 get off at ''Jan Van Eyk.....''stop, or walk there ,in front of a beautiful square, magnificent church and canal view !!! Charming at night, too!!! ---Just outside the train station there is a Carrefour market.. ---Mrs Katrien, a far beyond'' kind and helpful'' hostess, a very sweet and geniously kind lady, offered us the most warm welcome ever together with important info and map and was at our disposal during all our stay ... prompt replies and exact directions before arrival....no words enough for her!! She is a diamond, indeed !! Talking with her was a huge pleasure !!! ---The house itself is so beautiful and inviting outside that and we felt happy the moment we reached the front garden door !!!! A green paradise-yard with table-chairs to sit and enjoy peace and relaxation !! ---The room is pretttier than in photos, very cosy, with 2 windows with beautiful views to the green back yard and a little far sight of the park and bridge behind the house ! Very relaxing !!!

The best breakfast ever - delivered in a basket to the room at the arranged time. Loved it!!

Very nice and helpful host, clean and cosy place in walking distance of all important sites but in a calm and peaceful area of the city. Would very recommend buying the homemade breakfast basket as it was very tasty for not a lot of money and eliminates the hassle of having to get breakfast yourself.

Amazing location in the heart of the city. So much character. Our host David was very hospitable, full of knowledge and happy to help. We arrived for Christmas and our youngest daughter wanted a Christmas Tree. We asked David where to get one at breakfast and he said he would sort it. By the time we finished breakfast we had a beautiful Christmas tree in our room! By far our best on our 5 week trip around Europe. Breakfast was home made and delicious. It was lovely inclusion. We will definately return again

Excellent communication, great location, lovely little place tucked just behind Langstraat. It was the hottest weekend of the year so far, but there are plenty of windows and skylights to open and let air through. The shower was great; the loo is downstairs (as it's a coach house type apartment) but that was fine for us. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well ordered and good if you wanted to make your own food, etc. The mezzanine bed was setup on the floor - given the heat we were expecting to do this, so it was great that it was already setup. For a family of two adults and two children under 10, this worked out really well for a weekend. Very much liked the complementary bottles of Zot on arrival! Would recommend!
