This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views.

Lots of animales in the garden, perfect location opposite the beach, walking distance (15 min.) to Cahuita Ntl. Park entrance and town center, super helpful and relaxed Marise and Pierre...perfect time and place in Cahuita. Thanks Marise and Pierre for sharing this wonderful spot.

Elisa and her mother were wonderful hosts! Extremely friendly, have great local recommendations and made me feel welcome as part of the family straight away. The house is very peaceful and a great place to relax, with easy access to Playa Negra, several local bars and a short walk to the centre of Cahuita and Cahuita National Park. You can see numerous animals in the surroundings (I saw a little Capybara 🥹). Casa Aldirica is a fantastic place to stay and I would whole-heartedly recommend it! Pura Vida 😊

the owner was accomodating :), we were the only people staying there so we had the shared patio to ourselves. it was close enough to everything. Just to be aware, the container means the room is literally inside of the "shipping container" which is a pretty cool concept if you are up for it ;)

We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. The location was great. Walking distance to Punta Una. The free use of Kayaks anytime we wanted was wonderful! Our Bunglow was surrounded by beautiful gardens & felt private. The Bunglow had everything we needed and the host was extremely helpful & answered all our questions very quickly. The staff and host extremely nice & went beyond to make our trip special. Will stay again!

We loved it here so much we extended our stay from 3 to 8 nights. There is a lovely atmosphere here and the hosts were very welcoming. I had injured my foot when I arrived. Kim gave me some cream for it and helped me to get an xray for it. The proximity to the national park is awesome. We went most days and then spent the late afternoons relaxing in the pool. The kitchen is clean and well equipped. There are various comfortable seating options in the common area indoors and outdoors. The bedrooms are spacious and there is shelving and hanging space for clothes. The AC worked perfectly and hot shower was a luxury we haven't had for many weeks. Kim is very knowledgeable about activities in the area as well as where is best to spot wildlife in cahuita and in the national park. Our stay here made us fall in love with Cahuita and it was definitely a highlight of our Costa Rica trip.
