Guest House Pura Vida was our favourite stay in a month of travelling in Costa Rica. We loved meeting and chatting with our hosts Jorge and Pamela who, thanks to their own love and experiences of traveling, put a lot of thought and care into creating a welcoming place for travellers. This was especially evident by the common areas such as the kitchen, which was beautifully arranged over a second-storey balcony. There was some secret sauce that made the space extra-inviting and we had many easy and warm interactions with other guests. Our room was surprisingly spacious and had lots of neat decorative touches to make it feel like home. The property itself was beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains from the common areas, a tree in the courtyard where macaws would visit, and a little stream behind the property. The location, just a few minutes up the hill from the town centre, was quiet and safe (parking either inside the courtyard, or out front on a quiet gravel road). Finally, it's one of the cleanest places I have EVER stayed at, even compared to higher-end hotels etc. etc. I really couldn't ask for anything more if I tried!

Cleanliness, friendliness and how comfortable the place was. The a/c and the fan worked seamlessly well. The shower was a dream come true after sweltering day at the beach. Really well run establishment in great location and secured garage. Booked one night buy stayed two. Planning to stay there again on our way back from Osa Penninsula.

Couldn’t have asked for more, great location, the pool and garden space were brilliant and plenty of space to relax. Perfect for everything we needed. Jan and Ken were gracious hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

The apartment itself was amazing, it was spacious, had 2 hanging chairs so you could sit and look at the view if the ocean. The property was surrounded by trees and plants, where we could see Hummingbirds, a couple of macaws and the monkeys which visited the apartment in the morning and the evening. Frederico the host was helpful and was easily contactable if you needed anything. The property gad everything we needed. The location was perfect for us, only 15 minutes into town. Highly recommended

It's an amazing place to stay in Quepos and an even more amazing host. William is accommodating and makes the stay in Quepos even better. It is straightforward to get around with a car or without as the bus station is nearby. There is a super market less than 3 minutes away which makes it convenient.

Super friendly family who owns the place who helped with any questions we had. The place was bigger than expected, had secure parking, was a quick walk to the main restaurants in Quepos and hot showers! I also like how we could do our own laundry for free (only paying for the cost of laundry powder or you can bring your own).
