+ The place is a incredible value for the price. Clean, comfortable room and the girl that checked us in was propably the friendliest person I have met in Egypt! Also the location is three minute away from the boat which is very convenient.

If you want to stay in Elephantine Island, The Mango Guest house is the best you can get! It's a beautifully built and maintained place with a lovely garden to sit in and have your drinks. The location is also good as it's only a short walk from the boat dock. The WiFi worked well in the room and the room was exactly what you see in their pictures. There is self service on drinks and you can also order food which they get you from outside. They also have a laundry service. Strongly recommended!

The owner, JJ, and his team were very friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable and they organized a trip to Abu Simbel for me. When I got sick, they postponed the trip by a day, so I had time to get back in shape. JJ's wife also served me the strongest ginger tea I have ever had, to get me back up. Days later, while I was staying at another place, I walked past the hotel again and JJ spontaneously invited me to a dinner they were throwing for a group of guests. Thanks a lot!

It is an eye-pleasing petite guest house hotel. The staff is really friendly and professional. The lobby lounge/breakfast room is lovely to dwell in. The rooms are really delightful. Everything is spick and span. The bedding was surprisingly of good material :-) I love the location; it's right in the heart of Nubian village. Hats off for the style & detail of the accommodation for this budget.

Where to start? We felt so at home here. Mustafa and his family have been nothing than warm, helpful and kind to us. We were genuinely sad to leave. The location on Elephantine island is great, ca. 7 minute walk by foot from the public ferry, the view on the river Nile with the passing boats and all the birds is so picturesque and an absolute dream. The room was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast made with love and very tasty and suitable for vegetarians. We spoke a lot with Mustafa and he and his nephew Hamada helped us with organising trips (e.g. to Abu Simbel or a felucca ride - that we could not do in the end bc of too much wind, but Hamada was kind enough to take us around by motorboat). The people living on the island are friendly and welcoming and this has really been the best stay in Egypt so far. Highly recommend and thank you Mustafa and family!

The place was amazing, quiet, and very clean, managed exceptionally well. Its location is very close to the city center, requiring only a short ferry ride across the Nile to reach it. We had an enjoyable time there, surrounded by the beauty of nature, with the Nile on one side and the desert on the other. Don't forget to try the food—they serve delicious Egyptian dishes at very reasonable prices.
