Fantastic location right between Bowness and Windermere; Ken and Cindy were really friendly and happy to help with tips on the area and routes for Scafell Pike; the room was gorgeous, comfortable and exceptionally clean; breakfast was fantastic.

The Briscoe Lodge is located in a very quiet area close to the heart of Windermere: nearby, you will find shops, bars, restaurants and bus stops. The railway station is just a few minutes walk away. Graham, the owner, is one of the kindest person I have ever met. He is always ready to help and gave lots of advice about places to visit and which hikes to take. The place was really clean. Furthermore, the continental breakfast offered was really rich, including bread, jams, Nutella, yogurts, fruit juices and hot drinks. Finally, I would highly recommend this place and definitely would come back again!
