Absolutely clean facilities and quiet rooms, even in the shared dormitory. The hotel's own onsen is an absolute gem and should be very much appreciated. The lobby and common rooms are very comfortable and may be used for work, reading or having some lovel drinks. Furthermore the staff speaks very good English and is happy to help out with any concern. The hostel's staff even went the extra-mile for me and sent a piece of luggage after me with Yamato Express and I was able to retrieve it the very next day. Thank your very much for your invredible service!

The accomodation is a few minutes away from the train station. I was really surprised how new and col this place is. Especially the sauna was really nice, even with a small cool pool for after the sauna. It was extraordinary and a really pleasant stay. Value for money I think it is unbearable here in Japan

This is a great guesthouse and the owners are so nice. Even with our limited shared vocabulary, they tried making conversation, asking about my day and being very kind and helpful. The guesthouse is very clean and there is a cheap public bath right in front of it. The bed was very comfortable

The location was walking distance from a lot of interesting onsen. The host was incredibly kind, be sure to ask him for restaurants and onsen recommendations! The facility itself was homely and very pleasant, quiet too. All of this for a price which is honestly quite cheap. If I visit Beppu again, this is the place I'll return to.

A beautiful, old, very clean traditional guesthouse with traditional bath house across the street. This guesthouse has been tastefully renovated to retain all its olde worlde charm. The charming surroundings are complimented by your hosts, an older couple who have lovingly restored this beautiful building. Take a step back, slow down a bit and enjoy the charm of this place.

Guest House Sakichi is a very charming Japansese house and very well maintained, the room was cosy and futons very comfortable with clean facitilies (shared toilet and bathroom). The hosts were kind and there is a sento/onsen just in front of the house, where the hosts advise us to go at our arrival and it was very relaxing. The house is situated at about 15-20 min walk from the Beppu station, along the river in a very nice neighborhood.

The guesthouse was a lovely accommodation with very friendly hosts. The daughter of the owners kindly welcomed me with tea and a snack! :) I advise to bring ear plugs, because old Japanese houses like this one are not sound insulated. I still think it is worth staying there because it is so charming! The common spaces are very clean.
