Schanze Nozawa is fantastic. You are steps away from the Nagasaka gondola and the staff are awesome! The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean, with a communal dry room and free laundry. Breakfast was excellent and you are close to 13 Onsen and a 10min walk to the town centre. We look forward to returning to Schanze!

The owner is a incredible sweet woman. I would have like to talk more with her but I had to leave. I stayed in a big traditional room, very comfortable and warm, equipped with kotatsu, futon and a heater, so you won't be cold at all. You can also leave your skis on a dedicated room they have for it. The breakfast was a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast. I would repeat it for sure.

Extremely close to the slopes and bus across to Nozawa. Miki, the host, is exceptionally lovely and helped us with all of our needs. The rooms are clean, with comfortable Japanese futons to sleep on. The heaters worked so well I had to turn them off after an hour or so. Wifi is fast and works well. I highly recommend breakfast and dinner!
