I can really recommend this place! I stayed in a super nice and extremely clean room with a balcony and beautiful view of the hills. Big bathroom with hot water shower. The staff was very helpful and helped me arrange a tuktuk to go to Adams Peak at night. I have nothing to complain about!

Absolutely fantastic experience! My stay at Dhammika's guesthouse was a true highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka and I regret not being able to stay longer. Dhammika's hospitality is truly exceptional. He picked me up from the train station late in the evening, drove me to Adam's Peak trail starting point at 2 am, organized a very authentic tea fields tour, arranged a driver for me, and even gave me recommendations for a safari for the next leg of my journey. He really took care of everything! The guesthouse itself is lovely. My room was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning view of the surrounding tea fields and the lake. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the warmth and friendliness of Dhammika's family made staying there a pleasure. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and Dhammika's guesthouse is the perfect base to explore it from. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Well, Hatton and Dickoya is not on everybody’s route when they travel to Srilanka. But it should. We stayed for 2 days in this awesome Homestay. Room was excellent with amazing view, and perfect sunrise from our balcony. Moreover the owners can propose you unique excursion ( half or full day) around the area with a tuk tuk. For us we had some of our nicest and most authentic moments in Srilanka. We swam in amazing waterfalls, alone, we hiked a lot, we explored the vast tea plantations without the touristic vibes you experience in Ella. If you want to meet authentic Srilanka, just stop at Princess of Dickoya.

It was a wonderful stay at the rock view rest. We were lucky enough to find this place last minute. We were driving around the mountains and wanted to find a place for the night. The owners were super reactive and kind. We traveled with our 7 month old baby and the room was spacious and comfortable (we brought our own baby bed). We had a lovely dinner prepared by the owners that same evening and breakfast in the morning. We were heading to Arugam bay, but the owner proposed to us to go to Adam's peak. He drove us there the next day and waited for us to walk Adams peak. After we arrived back his wife prepared us some fried rice and we hit the road again.

We loved this place. We booked minutes before turning up yet was still greeted with fresh juice and given a lovely bedroom . Everything was immaculate , nice bathroom, hot showers and comfortable bed. We had use of the beautiful lounge area and kitchen and outdoor seating, perfect for making a hot drink. The location is in a peaceful quiet part of town, only a 10 minute walk from the main town or train station but along quiet back roads. We found two great places to eat in town, very local , delicious food and cost very little. Nana made us a delicious breakfast with lots of different dishes the best we have had our whole trip and kept us full all day. Hatton is a great place to spend a few days in as there is so much to see only a bus trip away
