In short, we loved everything. The location, the cleanliness, the pool... But the best thing was the attitude of Thilak (who clearly is the boss), his son, and his entire staff. They arranged transport from our previous accommodation and to our next accommodation. They also took us to safari with their own jeep. As for food - the breakfast, as well as dinner, was delicious. The dinner is a rice&curry buffet with spicy and non-spicy options. For lunch, there are several soups and sandwiches available. We were traveling with a picky 4yo, so this was a lifesaver.

An incredible 10/10 experience at Rustic Cottages! Sandeep is the best host we've ever met, ensuring our stay was comfortable in every way. The room and washroom were spotless, with a hot water shower that worked perfectly. The cottage itself was innovative, and both the dinner and breakfast were top-tier in quality and quantity. Though the location is a bit off the main road, the overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommend!

Anju, his brother and mom were amazing. The mom cooked delicious dinner for us, with a birthday cake and gift for my partner. The rooms big and clean,nice bathroom. Nice veranda, nice gardens. Loads of mosquitoes- but that’s Sri Lanka. There is a net over the bed if you want. Had trouble with the hot water which was fixed right away. For us the mattress was very hard and in the room there isn’t a chair. We did the safari which was amazing - so worth it! Breakfast was simple with egg toast, some Sri Lanken food, fruit tea and coffee Thanks Anju and dear family - we’ll be back for sure.

We booked the hut for two days with kids . It was private and beautiful and much better than the photos. The food was excellent and generous . They also provide safari wich was amazing with a lot of animals and additional time . We was even lucky and spotted a leopard. The hoke experience was very nice. We recommend the place and the safari guide.

The owner was kind and personable. Very hospitable and lovely room with big, comfortable bed . The bathroom was big and the hot water was consistent . Absolutely fantastic. Thumbs up !

The place is pure magic. The cabins are very nice and comfortable, and it is the ideal place to stay when visiting Udawalawe. The dinner and the breakfast were absolutely amazing. A special thank you to all the staff, who were so nice and friendly and helped arrange transfers to the property, the safari (which was amazing) as well as the delicious meals in the property!

Dasoon is the best. He took care of my family as if we were his family. He arranged a great safari and coordinated taxis and logisics. The food we ate there was the best we had in Sri Lanka.
