The staff running this hotel is its gem! At the time we stayed there, we were the only visitors, and we were treated exceptionally well. The lady, who is a cook there, didn't speak English at all, so we couldn't communicate with her (only if using Google Translate sometimes), but she was very attentive to us in terms of paying attention what we didn't eat or drink at the breakfast (I.e., we didn't drink coffee, milk), and next morning she brought very delicious tea and orange juice instead. As for the tea, it happened to be Albanian herbs, that they pick up by themselves, and that lady gifted 2 bunches of that tea to us along with almond nuts! 🫶 They treated us with different kinds of jams and, what was especially thoughtful of them, is to prepare 2 sandwiches, 2 pieces of pumpkin pie and water for us to take to the airport. We left at night as our flight was early in the morning, so they made our breakfast in the evening and left it in the fridge so that we'd pick it up when we left. The man, who works as a waiter, was always helpful and friendly with us, and it was nice to have small talks with him. In terms of the hotel itself, it's simple, authentic, and cozy. The rooms are fully wooden, which gave me a nice feeling of calmness and peace. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower room is small but neat and clean. The hotel is located in a couple of kilometers from the main road and is connected with it by a tiny road. If another car is coming towards you, one of you might need to go a bit backward to find a bit wider spot and be able to pass each other. The location itself is beautiful, quiet, green, peaceful - only nature and a few houses here and there. You'd need a car to get to the nearest store. However, there is a restaurant in the hotel so you can have lunch/dinner there too or buy a bottle of water.

Very welcoming hosts and a great place. Everything was really clean and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with all fresh ingredients from the garden. Would 100% recommend this place!

Everything was wonderful. The hosts were lovely and always available for us, the rooms comfortable and as described. The breakfast was huge and excellent. We were right next door to Mrizi and Zanave (best restaurant in Albania?). In fact it was just the best agritourism experience. Thanks for everything

Where can I start? I have no words for the great hospitality and kindness of our hosts at guesthouse Marku. Even though we could not understand each other, we had the warmest welcome and the best stay! We could wash our clothes, which was very much appreciated after a sweaty hike from Valbonë to Theth. The room was brand new and extremely clean. But above all, the breakfast was one in a million! Fresh tomatoes, cucumber, grapes, peaches, red berries, bacon, eggs, honey, bread… and even handmade cheese, yogurt, beignets… To top this off, a nice cappuccino to start our day! We followed the recommendation to visit the local ceramic atelier and had diner at Mrizi i zanave, where we also got tour of the farm. Do not hesitate to book, you will not regret this amazing stay!I
