At the guest house, units have a seating area. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was also excellent but not open all the time. Pool was a nice area to chill. Beach only steps away.

All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. The hosts are very nice. It is located from a 10-minute boat ride to the center of Tortugero, but they are also arranging the transfers thereto. We went to a morning boat tour with the host in Tortugero National Park and it was the best experience - he is very knowledgable, and have very good eyes to spot even the smallest animals.

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. Large house. Very well kept with everything you might need. Easy to check in / out. Nice balcony. Situated close to the center of the town and on top of a small bakery with very friendly staff.

It is situated 39 km from Ebal Rodriguez Stadium and features a housekeeping service. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The best host, very kind and helpful. We loved the frogs that live around the accomodation and can be seen early morning. It's definitely worth the stay, even the accomodation is close to the highway which is little loud during the night.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach.

Some units also have a kitchenette, equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a stovetop. Towels are available. Fantastic place with a beautiful garden, plenty of wildlife! The hosts are super welcoming, taking their time to show you around and help spot the animals (sloths, toucans, lizards etc). The pool is also very nice as well as the beach just across the street - it has shade, more sloths and feels safe for kids. We would have happily spent more time there!

Some rooms include views of the sea or garden. Rooms include a private bathroom. This is a lovely place with a private deck on the ocean. It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.

Keep in-mind that this a jungle bungalow with no AC and surrounded by noises of all sorts of animals, so set your expectations accordingly (not for light sleepers). We had breakfast and dinners on the little patio outside in March, no issues with mosquitoes for us.

The room was very comfy and clean. The owners were always there to help and advise. The kitchen is equipped not only with the tools but also with the basic food. The shared restroom was all right, we didn't have issues with availability. The price of the room was really great. I truly recommend!

I really Enjoyed staying here I had work to do and wanted a place where I could sit and focus.. The outdoor kitchen area and Patio is perfect!! It is truly a peaceful atmosphere. And as a Super Duper Bonus, The Macaws and Howler Monkeys are Calling in the morning and afternoons... Annnnnnnd The beach is so close so I work out in the mornings and chill! LOVE this place!! :)
