This property was the best property I have stayed in travelling all over Egypt and JJ was the best host. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in Egypt by a long shot and I’ve had some decent ones. The rooms were extremely clean, well kept and very nice in general. The view from the rooms and terrace was beautiful. The ferry from the mainland of Aswan is only 25 EGP so well worth staying on the island where it’s a bit quieter and you don’t get hassled. I would very highly recommend this accommodation.

Situated in Aswan, 18 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum, Nebro Nubian Guest House - Adults Only features recently renovated accommodation with free WiFi and a terrace. The air-conditioned accommodation is 11 km from Nubian Museum. The accommodation provides luggage storage space, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. The place is very nice, with kind and helpful staff. They offered hibiscus juice as welcome drinks and provided water throughout our stay. The owner Hafez was helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and design is modern and comfortable but with a Nubian style. It’s also fun to stay in the Nubian village and we got to see crocodile in people’s homes. There was also a nice restaurant next door that we ate for both nights so after all we had everything despite it’s remote location and we don’t regret staying there because Aswan’s city center also doesn’t have much for tourists.

The guest house serves an à la carte and Full English/Irish breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. At Nubian Soul Guest Houses, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. Our host Bibo was fabulous. He arranged our pick up from the airport and boat to the guest house. He arranged our felucca sunset sail. We loved our stay on Eliphintine island, it was very quiet and very easy to cross with the local ferry.

A lovely setting on the quiet side of Elephantine Island, air con worked well, breakfast on the covered patio was filling and tasty, Hamada and Moustafa were so helpful, picked us up by boat when we arrived in Aswan and organized a driver for Philae Temple and Abu Simbel.
