We would have liked ‘proper’ mugs as the small tea cups are too hot to hold when filled with hot drinks so we bought two and left them in the cupboard. Superb value and superior to most hotel rooms.

Hotel Le Colbert is beautiful, the rooms were so spacious & felt very luxurious & it was right in the centre of town. It is actually a very lovely B&B rather than a staffed hotel, but the host gave us everything we needed to access the property as we needed. It is such a stunning building & so comfortable, I had the best night's sleep.

Catherine was the best host, and gave us a very warm welcome upon our early arrival. We were upgraded to the most beautiful room which was very clean, and were able to use the chateau facilities before our official check-in time. The property is beautiful, with an amazing pool and garden where we had our incredible breakfast. In short; everything was perfect and even better than the photos.

Our stay was great. It was comfortable, quiet and warm; exactly what we needed after hours on the road. Host was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very tasty, especially pain perdu and homemade jam. Next time we will stay longer to enjoy more this lovely place

What an amazing and interesting place to stay. We loved the experience of staying in a centuries-old listed building and discovering aspects of it's history and architecture. Having a great breakfast in a dining room steeped in history was memorable. Secondly, Paul and Melissa were fantastic hosts and it was wonderful to get to know them. Meeting them added to the whole wonderful experience of staying at Le Chateau. If they invite you to chat with them over tea, grab the chance!

The accommodation was excellent, and the building was in wonderful condition. Beautiful tree lined driveway giving a very warm welcome to the property. The hostess was very helpful, and very friendly. She made a point of seating everyone at breakfast so that everyone could converse with each other to discuss their vacation.

Lovely breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. You really need a car to stay here and we had to depend on taxis, but the owner gave us a ride twice, which was very kind of them. We were recommended to go to the wolf park and it was amazing. Such a relaxing, comfortable stay. The owners enjoy being around to chat at breakfast and I enjoyed this very much to improve my French and learn more about the area. I would definitely like to stay again.
