The location next to the lake, the spacious and extremely clean room, the shower with more than sufficient hot water, the clean sheets and comfortable mattress which is firm enough without being too soft for those of us with lower back issues, and Mr. Dimmer who made us feel extremely welcome. He even provided a room for our driver since we arrived much later than expected due to the long line of vehicles waiting to get on the ferry from Parapat to Samosir. We really appreciated everything he did for us.

My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated room, amazing tropical garden, delicious food in the restaurant, the well organised and executed overnight tour into the jungle (yes, we were lucky to see orangutans in the wild) But it is the people working at the Orangutan discovery villa that made our stay unforgettable - highly hospitable, accommodating, genuine in every way. If we are ever to go back to Bukit Lawang it will be the this place.

The whole place is a 10/10 and the food on the premises is delicious😋😋😋 We would like to give a big thank-you to Putri for the great communication from the date we booked and throughout our stay and to Nani for always greeting us daily at the reception/restaurant area with her genuine smile. “Big SHOUT OUT to Jack and Rico for being excellent guides during our two day jungle trekking…..and of course a big thank you to Junet our amazing taxi driver who picked us up at the airport and at the end of our stay drove us to lake Toba in the most professional way possible🙏🙏😊😘🦧

Best place we’ve ever stayed, cannot recommend it highly enough! The beach 5 meters from the room has some of the best snorkeling we have ever tried. We even saw a sea turtle. Borja is extremely attentive and helpful, and will try to help you regardless of what you need. We stayed in both a deluxe room and later a bungalow. Both are amazing but the bungalow has a bit more privacy. It takes roughly 15 minutes by scooter to get to Gapang Beach where there are diving and freediving schools.

Lots of greens and plants around, lovely village like location. You will have a peace of mind here.

From the first contact on everything was organized perfectly (transport from and to the airport, the trek, finding a group to treck with etc.). The staff is really nice, you feel like family there. They also invited me for dinner and we talked about many different things, like culture differences. I did a 2 day 1 night treck with Rian (Guide), Sarol (Assistant Guide) and Mawan (Chef). A very good experience with a lot of explanations and fun. The food was also delicious. You can see, that they have a lot of experience.

Το Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe, το οποίο βρίσκεται μπροστά στη θάλασσα σε Bukit Lawang, έχει κήπο και βεράντα. Τα δωμάτια περιλαμβάνουν αυλή με θέα στο ποτάμι. Absolutely loved the staff, Risky, Gibran, Arif and Aria and all the staff were so welcoming and helpful that we will keep in touch with them. The location is stunning and we had an amazing time in the jungle trekking and saw lots of Orangutans. The village 15 minute walk away is lovely.

Το Batu Kapal Guest House & Jungle trekking είναι σε Bukit Lawang και έχει κήπο, βεράντα και μπαρ. Friendly staff, good food and a very quiet location. I used it to relax after 3 days in the jungle. Would definitely go again!
