The check in was very smooth and the host was so friendly and welcoming. The room and shared bathroom were super clean and we felt very much at home. The host kindly arranged our taxi to the airport for us which worked out perfectly. Would highly recommend! Thank you :)

We spent 1 night only, the last one on our trip.. A very good place to sleep before your flight, close to the airport, not a big room, but everything fit into its place. Ana, the host, was great 😃!!!

What a lovely and charming little house! We just had a short night before an early flight, but we would have loved to spend more time there as it was really cosy.

Το Keflavik Micro Suites παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο και δωρεάν WiFi. Βρίσκεται στο Κεφλαβίκ, σε απόσταση 43 χλμ και 45 χλμ από τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Γαλάζια Λίμνη και The Pearl αντίστοιχα. Το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται 6 λεπτά από το αεροδρόμιο και είναι ιδανικό σε περίπτωση που ταξιδεύεις με βραδινή πτήση. Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ καθαρό και ζεστό ενώ μας πρόσφεραν ένα μικρό πρωινό για την επόμενη μέρα, πράγμα που το εκτιμήσαμε πολύ. Στα αρνητικά, το δωμάτιο είναι αρκετά μικρό κ δεν έχει καθόλου καλή ηχομόνωση από τα διπλανά και τα πάνω δωμάτια.

The accommodation was exactly what I was looking for. It was very clean and maintained to a high standard. Hanna Maria answered any queries I had promptly and gave me some good advice about how to get around. There is a local bus (no 55) which stops a few streets away, but it was very cold and windy the day I arrived so I took a taxi from the airport. I did however take this bus into Reykjavik one day and it came on time. It's more reasonably priced than taking the FlyBus shuttle from the airport. The room I stayed in was nice and cosy and perfect for one person. It was useful to have the Extra24 supermarket just up the road too, which is open all night! The kitchen had everything one could possibly need and the communal area was nice, with a large dining table and a tv, for anyone who wants to use that room. I went in November. I was originally booked to go earlier in the year, when the weather would have been warmer, but had to postpone my trip. Not too far from the guest house is the Duus Museum, which I can highly recommend, and, for anyone with children, there is Giganta's cave, home of a character in the story of Sigga and the Giantess, by the Icelandic author Herdís Egilsdóttir!

Set 5 km from Blue Lagoon, Guesthouse Grund provides accommodation and free WiFi in Grindavík. Some units also have a kitchen equipped with an oven and a microwave. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and dining area is a nice place to have dinner and breakfast. We had a room with shared bathroom, which is very clean, and although the guesthouse was full, it didn’t feel crowded.

Το Motel Arctic Wind βρίσκεται σε Vogar, σε απόσταση 15 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Γαλάζια Λίμνη και παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης και βεράντα. Very clean, private and lovely host. Bed was very comfortable.

Our flight arrived at around 2am so we wanted somewhere close to the airport. The room was small but super cosy and the beds were comfortable, we had a good nights sleep. In the morning the shared bathrooms were always available, spacious and very clean. A 10 second walk across the road took us to a fabulous breakfast (including great coffee)- amazing to have this included in the price. It really set us up for the day. A taxi into Reykjavik cost a a huge amount, however, it still worked out as a cost effective option, as it was much cheaper than a night in a central hotel, and much closer to the airport. A great option if you have a flight arriving late or an early departure.
