We loved everything about our stay here! The location is very peaceful, the Japanese style room was very prettily decorated and spacious, and the Miyako and her husband were fabulous hosts. They were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel very well cared for. Miyako prepared delicious and generous meals for us that were absolutely beautiful. She was also a huge help with arranging luggage transfer for us as we began our planned hike along the Michinoku trail. And she and her husband offered to drive us to and from Hachinohe station at a very reasonable rate, which is a big help and big time saver because Hachinohe is very spread out.

We spent three wonderful days in Hirosaki, a charming and authentic town that still feels untouched by mass tourism. It was refreshing to explore a place where the pace is slower and the culture feels so genuine. The absolute highlight of our stay was Guest House Chara, run by the kindest elderly couple, Fusao and Toshiko. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Το Tanehachi Farm Guesthouse - Vacation STAY 29709v παρέχει δωμάτια σε Aomori, σε απόσταση 26 χλμ και 17 χλμ από τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Αρχαιολογικός χώρος Sannai-Maruyama και Gappo Park, αντίστοιχα.... It was a beautiful and homely stay! Great start to our trip in Japan/Aomori. The host family was very kind and the children were really cute! We got dinner on our first night and breakfast on our last day. We bought some of their honey as well (self-harvested!) Really fresh and delicious home-cooked food (different from the oily city food I am used to). The futons were sooo comfortable too! It's really like living with your relatives (a home/farmstay rather than a hotel so keep your expectations aligned) We love it though! Separate shower and toilets (they do provide bath towel & face towel!). There's a fridge too! We took a walk around the farm/forest and the host showed us his mini waterfall as well :) To be honest, I was a little afraid of the stink bugs but it's not as bad as I thought (mostly harmless and the host teaches you how to capture them). There's an old traditional heater where they will burn firewood so it might get a little chilly but the futon keeps you very cozy.

The location is a smidge away from Hirosaki city, however, if you like the countryside, the Asyl is perfect for long walks in the evening and at night. The owners are absolutely lovely, warm and friendly people, so please don't let the awkwardness of a language barrier hold you back. We managed to talk together with a mix of broken english and japanese, as well as a lot of help from translation apps.

It was a house that one can feel the warm hospitality from the host Tama-San and his wife and certainly the 25 lovely cats. The room was clean and the common room was nicely decorated. We are thankful that the host also treated us a wonderful breakfast. It was impressive experience to eat in with lots of cars surrounding you. They are lovely!
