This place was brilliant. The hosts were so friendly and we loved the coworking space next door to the guesthouse. We were able to catch up with a little work as well as get a great night's sleep. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and there were many shops nearby. Tomaruku was an excellent choice and we would love to return one day in the near future.

Very clean, great facilities and good provision of anything you might need for a comfortable stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the beds and public spaces are well kept. The location is very good too, within walking distance of downtown areas and Hirome Market. The dorm beds were actual mattresses, so they were very comfortable, and the bunks came with many sockets and accessories (fan, light, clothes line, tissues). It’s a refurbished house, so it felt very cozy. It was comfortable and I enjoyed talking to other guests and the owner. It was a superb stay, one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed at! Thank you!

Quiet, nice area, beautiful layout of kitchen, dining and lounge areas, great for connecting with other ohenros, so well-outfitted, nice rooms, bath, attractive, well-organized and comfortable, near major supermarket.

We were anxious about the accommodation being close to the road, but it was not an issue at all. Our bedroom balcony extended over the picturesque riverbed. The guest house has recently been renovated in a tasteful, thoughtful manner. We have stayed at accommodations of all budgets, from private multi level ocean front houses to places like this with shared bathrooms. We loved our stay here, there were ample bathrooms, they were modern and immaculately clean, we enjoyed meeting other guests and finding out tips on where to go. The hosts David and Yoshiko are amazing. The Family Mart next door was handy for snacks. Our two teens enjoyed as much as we did the Ramen restaurant and Izakaya close by. Two nights here was not enough for our family of four ( two teens, mom and dag )

The house is beautifully nestled in the woods, the scenery (even from the bathroom!) is amazing! There's a lot of space and the rooms are comfortable and cozy, the hosts are great and super helpful, and will give you amazing advices to explore the surroundings. Do yourself a favour, avoid the super touristy hotels of the area and stay here!

Το EkimaehouseSamaru είναι στον προορισμό Shimanto-cho, στα 13 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto και 24 χλμ από Monjudo Temple. It was a great location with great staff. He was very helpful. I just wish I could’ve stayed longer than one night.

The house itself was super fun and quirky and the room was the perfect size for three people. Maki was also super kind and gave us a ton of great restaurant and experience recommendations for Kochi!

Το Guest house 旅人宿ゆるっと βρίσκεται σε Iburi, 2,2 χλμ μακριά από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Παραλία Oki και 8,7 χλμ από Kotohira Shrine. Προσφέρει κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και μπαρ. I had a good night's rest in this Guest House in Iburi, after a long hiking trek from Shimanto City. The bed was comfortable with plenty of room for my things and the facilities were neat and clean. The shared area had a homely feel to it with free hot drinks provided. Also a bar for Alcohol Drinks. No shops in the immediate area however I believe Dinner and Breakfast can be provided on request (I did not partake). I am doing the Shikoku Henro Pilgrimage and as it turned out, it was the ideal spot from which to visit Temple 38, Kongōfukuji, down the coast to Cape Ashizuri. A long trek there and back the other side to TosaShimuzu (about 15 mins away by bus) was just about doable in a day. By bicycle would definitely be easier/faster as it is relatively flat. The route has stunning Coastal Views and the Temple is impressive. The Guest House owner was friendly and kind and stored my heavy rucksack for the day so that I could travel light. Price was great value too, especially so close after Golden Week.
