Beautiful ski lodge, the wood workshop made it even more charming. The room was clean and comfortable and simple but very cozy. They had everything you need and on top of that an onsen style bath. The host was very kind and generous and I left with a big smile! I wished I could stay longer!

The accommodation is really beautiful and the host was very nice. It didn’t feel like being traveling but more like being welcomed by family. The rooms are in a traditional style and the futon was super comfy. The only downside was, that the place is located far out of Akita, but if you travel by car or don’t mind of taking the bus and walk through along some fields (f you travel with a backpack) it is definitely worth a stay.

I love how the space feels like coming back home, the owner is really kind, funny and I enjoy talking with him and other travelers. We sat all together and had some fun.time. The room I stayed in was a dormitory, the futon mattress was comfortable. I enjoyed the location as well. Even though it's a 30 min walk to the station, it's a really historical area and you will enjoy walking around. I highly recommend it!.

Το Guesthouse Oyado Iizaka βρίσκεται σε Φουκουσίμα, σε απόσταση 35 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Σταθμός Nihonmatsu και παρέχει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, κοινόχρηστο χώρο... The host was super friendly! It had a homely feel and I felt very comfortable here. We also had a BBQ together on the front deck!

Το Matakitai είναι σε Ichinoseki, σε απόσταση 14 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Ναός Motsuji και διαθέτει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης και κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge. I was the only guest for the night. Great common area for multiple people. There is a full kitchen for use and while it is a bit out of the way it was one of the best places i stayed on my trip.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

Eiju is such a great host, he’s super hospitable and friendly, we had many good yarns together. my stay in Matsushima couldn’t have been any better. The rooms were super clean and comfortable and I was given many cool recommendations of things to do whilst there. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Το Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte που διαθέτει κήπο, μπαρ και εστιατόριο, βρίσκεται σε Zao Onsen. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

Το Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane βρίσκεται σε Tsuruoka, σε απόσταση 24 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Ενυδρείο Kamo και προσφέρει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi and δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης. The hotel located right next to Zuishinmon so it’s very easy to hike Mt.Haguro from this location and also close to bus stop as well. The room is traditional Japanese room with futon and also air conditioner. The place has a shared bathroom and washroom. The food was very delicious. I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.

Το Pension Puutaro απέχει 500μ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Zao Hot Springs Ski Resort σε Zao Onsen. Προσφέρει καταλύματα 3 αστέρων και διαθέτει απευθείας πρόσβαση σε πίστα σκι. Everything very clean. Very large room for single or 2 persons, can probably fit a whole family. Keiko was super nice and helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants. There’s just a lot of attention to every detail overall. The toilets even had the highest quality toilet paper I’ve ever seen in Japan😀 The price in summer/off season was very fair. There is no AC but it should unusually not be needed. Even when it was 37 degree in Tokyo it was only 25 in Zao onsen.
