The guest house features family rooms. I can really recommend this place! I stayed in a super nice and extremely clean room with a balcony and beautiful view of the hills. Big bathroom with hot water shower. The staff was very helpful and helped me arrange a tuktuk to go to Adams Peak at night. I have nothing to complain about!

He offered me a juice as soon as i get there and gave me great suggestions on what to do in the area. He also has a tuk tuk and is always willing to drive you around the area (he room me to adam’s Peek in the middle of the night) but is no pushy about it. The food I had was great and the apartment looks pretty new and very clean (european standard, i’d say), tidy and smells good. The area is a bit off the beaten track, but worth a trip (tea plantations all around, lake views, nice locals) and is very easy to reach by bus from Hatton.

The accommodation features private check-in and check-out and a tour desk for guests. We stayed here for a couple of nights because we wanted to climb the Adam's Peak and well, the Water Side Residence was the perfect choice for us - it's located near the entrance of the hiking trail for the Adam's Peak (like 5-10 minutes walk or less). The hosts were lovely, ready to share tips/suggestions for the hike, as well as ready to answer any questions we might have (not only related to the Adam's Peak). There's a cafeteria upstairs, at the entrance, and you must try the food there - everything was so delicious, from the noodles to the omelets and all the fresh fruit juices! Our room was a wooden cabin a few floors downstairs from the cafeteria. It was so peaceful there! Beds were comfortable, there was hot water for the shower, plenty of power plugs, and there were mosquito nets at the entrance (so we could keep the windows open during night to cool the air in the cabin). Would definitely recommend this place if you plan to climb the Adam's Peak :)

When arriving in the village.. someone waited for us and wanted to help us guide to the stay. Eventually,. We found out it was our host!.. incredibly friendly and helpful in everything! Rooms are good, Oke shower and a very nice breakfast after the hike! -
