We had a fantastic stay! The staff was really nice and friendly. The manager arranged our safari, a tuktuk ride to see a local ceremony in the village and a car ride to Mirissa. Also, we got to see the cinnamon and fruit/vegetable garden. We had amazing homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner for a very fair price. The room was spacious and clean. Further, the location of the hotel next to the rice fields is amazing. It's nice to go for a walk and you have a great view from the garden and balcony. We can highly recommend staying here!

Lake Front Yala Safari se encuentra en Kataragama, a 18 km de Tissa Wewa, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Sam's Stay Buduruwagala se encuentra en Wellawaya, a 39 km de Puente de los Nueve Arcos, Demodara, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, jardín y terraza. The room was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return.

Nobel Regency se encuentra en Bibile, a 46 km de Parque Nacional Maduru Oya, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. A bit hard to find, behind some shops and apartments, you have to go under the building through, well, a short tunnel really. Maps is fairly accurate so just look for a gap in the building. On the other side is an old house which is the Nobel Regency which should have seemed "hemmed in" by the apartments, but it wasn't as it is set in lovely gardens with many plants. It's an old house with old furniture, retro but very comfortable. Multiple common areas both inside and outside. I had a very big room with a huge bathroom which was original to the house and dated, a bit of a time-warp really, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Good a/c and fan. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfortable bed. I was hot and tired from my motorbike journey and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They bought me a welcome drink. After I had showered, I asked for tea and a snack, and they bought me fruit and then tea and cake on the verandah. Nothing was too much trouble. I sat and read a book and they kept checking that I was comfortable and had everything that I wanted. I did notice that one of the rooms was small because they had added an en-suite bathroom in a sort of prefabricated unit inside the room. That seemed a bit unusual. But I suppose it is perfectly functional. It is an inexpensive place to stay. Very good Sri Lankan curries and rice dinner, fruit and dessert. Breakfast was also very good. This was a perfect choice for me. I didn't explore the town as I was only on a stopover for one night, and I left early the next morning. It was very comfortable with good food and fantastic hosts.

Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) está en Monaragala, a 45 km de Buduruwagala Temple, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Muy bonito lugar alejado de ruidos, en plena jungla pero a 100m de una carretera sin apenas tráfico. El anfitrión, Michael, es una persona muy especial además de excelente cocinero. A remarcar que es el único guía en el pueblo para subir al monte Maragala. Una subida exigente para aquellos que les gusta la montaña. Una caminata que te llevará todo el día, 6 horas para ascender (con sus paradas para refrescarse y tomar un agua de coco), y 4 horas de descenso. Para un paseo corto, hay un mirador a 30 minutos caminando desde la propiedad, que está muy bonito. También está muy bien ubicado para hacer una parada yendo o regresando de Arugam Bay y disfrutar de una cena 10.
