We had been warned of some accomodations in udawalawe making you book safaris through them directly or denying you a room, this is not one of those places. When we checked in we were offered a tour but our hosts were perfectly fine with us having one booked from outside. Dinner buffet was to die for and breakfast was wonderful.

A great place to stay with a wonderful host - Dasun organised for us to get around and provided options for a safari which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the opportunity to met Dasun's family and his mum cooked our evening meals which were absolutely delicious. Sitting relaxing outside our unit we were entertained by a monitor lizard and family of mongooses passing my - magic.
