Location is in the heart of Medina, quick to call a taxi and get anywhere in Essaouria. Or just simply walk 5 minutes to the local streets to explore what the city has to offer. Omar and his staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond in terms of service, attitude, friendliness. You will be treated with the utmost respect and care here at Riad Dar Awil. Not to mention the delicious food - literally a feast fit for royalty. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Room was clean and there is a cleaner to come tidy your room (even folded up some clothes I had lying around). Can't recommend enough. Thanks for the amazing experience here. Will definitely be back whenever in Essaouria

The rooms are enormous, I truly could have fit my family inside comfortably. Extra linens if you need them, and clean by in the Medina standards! you will experience a bit of humidity and street noise if your window faces the street, but I slept very well here during my stay. Also note you will have the sewage smell from the Medina plumbing - I combat with some essential oils in the toilet and keep the lid closed. This is standard if you stay anywhere in the Medina. Located in a lovely area with many things to discover and close to very good restaurants

Amazing!!! The most beautiful place, with lovely people. We couldn't have had a better stay. The place is super beautiful, garden is a little paradise. Rooms are perfect. The place is just like the pictures. It's amazing if you are looking for a quiet and chill place. The rooms are spacious, the pool area and garden are stunning, and there's even a communal kitchen and living room. We arrived way later than we were hoping, but Simon arranged for someone to open the garage and give us the keys without any issues. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed our time there, it was as peaceful as we wanted.

We could not have had a better stay! The Tamayourt is a secluded Riad about 10 minutes drive from Essaouira. Everything about this place is perfect. Quiet, incredible, friendly and attentive staff, especially the owner Maryam who is a ray of sunshine, exceedingly helpful and an amazing chef. The days we ate here all day were the best food we had on our whole trip. The garden and art pieces are stunning, and the heated pool has been the best swims we’ve had. As hard workers, we wanted a total relaxation of a holiday and Tamayourt provided that and more.
