Surprisingly nice! We were greeted with nice, cold juice. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. The rooms were very clean. Very glad we stayed there.

The most beautiful beaches on the island - Belle Mare Public Beach and Palmar Public Beach - are within easy reach by car in 5-10 minutes. The location of the villa itself is suitable for touring the whole island, no need to book accommodation elsewhere. The apartment is clean, comfortable; it also has a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and balcony are above average in size, and the terrace has a wonderful view of the fantastic garden in bloom and colour. Most importantly, Jay, the host, makes your stay at Shanti Nivas Villa unforgettable with his kindness, absolute attentiveness, helpfulness and knowledge of Mauritius. Through him, you will gain an insight into the local customs, flora and fauna. In the mornings, she prepares her own juices from the delicious freshly squeezed local fruit, from her own garden and fresh, juicy fruit from the local market. During our stay there, he was at our disposal every minute of the day, this is accommodation we can recommend to anyone as a seasoned traveller. The standard of accommodation was of high quality and very clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet. It would have been excellent if closer to the sea. The reception by the owners on site was exceptional and friendly. Very helpful in organising trip to Ile aux cerfs. Would use it again.

Way nicer than the price suggests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The huge balcony was definitely a highlight.

The property is beautifully maintained. Quiet and safe. Kept impeccably clean. Brigitte and Samanda are wonderful hosts.

The staff was really nice, and the optional breakfast was copious and tasty! It's well situated and not too far from the sea.

The property is is a serene environment with a lot of outdoor space. There are food outlets nearby. The owners were very friendly. The parking is large too. Can take many cars.

Great breakfast and dinner. We appreciate the fish curry and faratas,very yummy Great staff, specially Pascale. She is always present for any of our demands or questions. The ladies in the kitchen and the cleaning ladies very helpful. We like the extraordinary view in the river This place is for slow living. When you are there you just want to do nothing and just enjoy the beauty of the place and the beauty of the people making the time with them just memorable.
